It’s official: real time physics is being added to Madden NFL 13.
EA Sports confirmed the news during the EA E3 2012 press conference. According to EA, no two plays will look the same, as each play takes speed, mass and momentum into account.
This is big news for the Madden series, as canned animations have been one of the issues critics of the game have pointed out in years past.
In addition, EA Sports provide new details into the new Connected Careers mode, which replaces the old Superstar mode. With Connected Careers, users can create a league with up to 32 users as a player or coach. The mode will also include an actual story engine with an simulated Twitter feed. Gamers can also manage their team on their desktop, tablet and iOS device.
Madden NFL 13 is expected to be released in August.
